Do you get tired of scrolling down long lists? When you are filling out an online address form do you ever wish you lived in Alabama or Alaska instead of Oregon? (Hey, could be worse, you could live in Wyoming.) You don’t have to scroll down those long lists. Here’s how to zip right to where you want to go.
Just click on the list to open it, then enter the first letter or two of your target and you will go right to that section.
It works on almost any list; on a website, in the Finder, or in most apps. For example, you can go to an app quickly in the Applications folder by typing in the first one or two letters of the name. (Type them fairly quickly, if there is too much of a gap between the first and second letter, it will go to things starting with the second letter.)
